Free parking for holiday shoppers during December

According to the Jersey Journal, shoppers in Jersey City's five Special Improvement Districts will receive 2 hours of free parking in designated municipal lots from Dec 1st to Jan 2nd.

The five SIDs are: Historic Downtown, Central Avenue, McGinley Square, Journal Square and Jackson Hill Main Street.

Street sweeping will also be suspended Dec 24th to Jan 2nd.
