Tomorrow is the annual Hudson County Volunteer Expo at the Landmark Loew’s Jersey Theatre in Journal Square between 2 pm and 8 pm.
The Volunteer Expo, now in its sixth year, is an event that serves to connect community members to non-profit organizations seeking volunteers for a range of causes.
This free event is open to the public and all types of volunteers are encouraged to come: from first-timers who may not know how to start volunteering, to long-experienced volunteers who want to expand their repertoire and everyone in-between.
Quite a few organizations are schedule to participate, including: American Red Cross, Angela Cares, Art House Productions, Attic Ensemble Theatre Co., Big Brothers Big Sisters of Essex, Hudson & Union Counties, Boys & Girls Clubs of Hudson County, Bridgeway Rehabilitation Services, Child Advocacy Resource Association (CARAS), Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), Family Success Center of Horizon Health Center, Friends of Liberty State Park, Friends of the Loew's, Garden State Episcopal CDC, Habitat For Humanity, Historic Jersey City & Harsimus Cemetery, Hudson County Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), Hudson Pride Connections Center, Hyacinth AIDS Foundation - Project LOL, Jackson Hill Main Street, Jersey Cares, Jersey City Dept. of Health and Human Services, Kiwanis Club of Jersey City, Liberty State Park, Mental Health Association of NJ, NJ Sharing Network, Partnership for Maternal & Child Health of Northern New Jersey, Puerto Rican Family Institute NJ, Rebuilding Together Jersey City, Rising Tide Capital, The Sharing Place, Surati For Performing Arts, Urban League of Hudson County and more!
