Remember: this Saturday, May 11, 2013 is the Newport 10K race at 8:30am.

It is a beautiful course that starts at Newport Town Square (in front of the Newport PATH station) and takes you through all of the downtown Jersey City neighborhoods.

Post-race festivities will start at 10am and will include music, refreshments and prize drawings (NY Mets tickets, NY Red Bulls Tickets, a 1 hour massage and several restaurant gift certificates).

Registration is now open for the annual Newport 10K race that will take place on Saturday, May 11, 2013.

The course starts on Washington Street in front of the Newport PATH station and takes you through all of the downtown Jersey City neighborhoods: Newport, Hamilton Park, Harisimus Cove, Van Vorst, Paulus Hook, Exchange Place and along the waterfront for some amazing views of the Hudson River and New York City.

And if you like the 10K, the annual Newport Half Marathon will be taking place later in the year on Sunday, September 22, 2013.
