Historic Jersey City: Then and Now

Very extensive site that lets you see side-by-side images of Jersey City then and now.  Be sure to take a look at the old photo of City Hall, before the copulas were taken down.  Also, this building at the corner of Barrow St and Wayne St is almost unrecognizable.

Comprehensive guide to the history of Jersey City, including many great old photographs and postcards.  Take a look at the history of the high traffic Grove St and Newark Ave intersection where the Grove PATH station is.  Also check out this illustration of the street where the Van Vorst Homestead stood, at the corner of 4th Street and Marin Blvd, long before ShopRite and BJ's Wholesale Club!
