Historic Paulus Hook Association's Casino Night Fundraiser at Base on Saturday, March 1, 2014

Historic Paulus Hook Association is throwing a "Casino Night in Paulus Hook" fundraiser on Saturday, March 1st at Base Gym (location was formerly Club H) at 60 Columbus Drive from 7 pm to 11 pm.

The event will feature food, wine, beer, music, dancing and gambling.

Funds raised will benefit redesigning the Paulus Hook Park, located at the corner of Grand Street and Washington Street.

Propsective Renters Can Now Register for a Sneak Peek at New Luxury Rental Building in Paulus Hook: Warren At York

According to NewJersey.com the new luxury rental building Warren At York is now allowing interested renters to sign-up for an exclusive "sneak peek" at their apartments, amenities and an opportunity to "lock in a great price by leasing early" by registering on their website at www.WarrenAtYork.com.

Currently under construction, the Warren At York building is located at 120 York Street in the Paulus Hook neighborhood (not surprisingly, at the corner of Warren St and York St!).

Once complete, Warren At York will have 11 stories, 139 apartments including studios, 1, 2 and 3 bedrooms.  The grand opening is expected to be early spring.

HPHA's Savor the Season Holiday Feast is Sunday, December 15, 2013

Historic Paulus Hook Association (HPHA) is throwing their Savor the Season Holiday Feast this Sunday, December 15th from 2 pm to 5 pm at St. Peter's Prep (Van Vorst Street and Grand Street).

The holiday event will support the Paulus Hook Park Redesign. Tickets are $25/adults ($5 discount online), $20/seniors, kids under 12 are free.

The Real Deal recently reported a new record-setting price for a condo in Jersey City: a whopping $2.8M for a two-bedroom, 2,100 square foot penthouse at the luxury 77 Hudson building in the Paulus Hook / Exchange Place area of Jersey City.

Iron Monkey Serving Ommegang Game of Thrones Beer

Iron Monkey at 97 Greene Street in Jersey City

Starting tomorrow Iron Monkey near Exchange Place will be serving Ommegang "Game of Thrones" beer.

HBO teamed with New York brewery Ommegang for a beer in honor of the third season of Game of Thrones which started this past Sunday.

The beer is a blonde ale, the first in a series of Game of Thrones beer tie-ins.

Paulus Hook Dishcrawl on Tuesday, April 2nd

JCI reports that Dishcrawl will be hosting their first Jersey City restaurant walking food tour on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at 7pm.

Tickets cost $45 and stops will include Cityside Bistro, Iron Monkey, HopsSotch and O’Connell’s.

A new restaurant is gearing up to open on Montgomery Street and Warren Street, in the old Baja space (they still have a location in Hoboken according to their website).  The sign says the new restaurant is Blue Moon Mexican Cafe.
